Phillip Island 2008

Hey all,

I'm planning for the first time to do a ride down to the island this coming motogp.

I'm be coming from Sydney so I hear 2 days their 2 days back should be a comfortable ride down.

Anyone got any tips for the ride down? Like...

Accommodation ( not to expensive for about 6 blokes ) We will just be sleeping there.
Accomodation saftely? Well I got a Duc and I'm afraid of it getting stolen throughout the night :)
Something close to nightlife? Planned to get pissed while I down there of course :)

Anything else?

If you haven't got accomodation sorted by now you had better get on the phone. Nearly all accomodation on the Island is booked WAY in advance for the GP.

You could try the Phillip Island Adventure Centre for accomodation. It's on the main road onto the island, close to Cowes and the track. I stayed there while working at the Superbikes, Motel style accomodation, good clean rooms and it is set back off the road onto the island so your bikes are not on display to the world overnight. I don't know the prices or phone number but I'm sure it'll be on whitepages.com.au
