Hello everyone! New member here! Have been researching the heck out of the 1098 and have all but set my mind on getting a 1098S! I missed the waiting list but I'm hoping to be on the bubble so if anyone backs out i should be able to get one in Feb(dealer has something like 24 coming!).

My 1st bike was a Duc(still have it) then I got the Ape and hav ebeen riding that in the So Cal Mtns and Canyons for the past 3 years...but I am now in the Pacific Northwest and ifgure since i can't ride as often, I might as well have the best for when i do ride!!!

I occurs to me I should make a proper post. I've been here for a while (mostly lurking, occsionally whining about no all-black base 1098).

Went to the DC moto show on Fri, rode Monster to the dealer on Sat, put the deposit down. As posted somewhere else, if my a-hole is re-puckered when the bike gets here (big thanks to Coleman Powersports. Their "good deal": 15% off accessories; paying MSRP plus all their regular BS $16,400OTD), I'll be riding the 1098 in the nearish future.

Anyway I'm a lawyer, seething hatred for my life, glad as hell this forum is hear. Much valuable info from you all and Phil"Minoli"1098.

You Falco, the M750 is really tough to part with, isn't it? Arguably the finest motor to come out of the factory.

Oh and I've got the loudest Monster I've ever heard. Fully cored pipes. People have no idea it's one of the "little" ones.
