Grrr.. can't go.. boss says "no."
I think I went that little bit too far when I went for a tour around Vic/ACT for the MotoGP last year. I think if I'm going it will be sans bike.

Heading down thru the snowies, via Tawonga on the first night, then up over Hotham to Phillip Island on the second day...these are the routes we planned, unless we find a better way...is about 10 of us heading down in a group, and i think i'll take the Multi for this one..

anyone heading through Cann River beware...i was sent this last night...
"Vicroads they are determined to have us all off the roads, what better week to patch their recent work on the road but to do it with loose blue stone over wet tar, then set up little loose stones signs as way of warning. The patches are in corners before and after apexes and the stones seem to be laid about 2 inches thick!
I came across the workers down near the bridges about 10K's out of Cann River and stopped to ask what they intended to do about the stones. The guy says that they'll be up sweeping the roads some time Tuesday (today as this is the first computer I've seen since getting to Paynesville) or maybe Wednesday/Thursday! I then stopped in at the cop shop in Cann River and asked if they knew it was the supers this weekend and if they though it was a hazard! The copper basically said that there was a road works 40kph sign at the top of the twisties (which there wasnt) and that if someone fell doing more than 40 it was their tough luck!! proves to me that Victoria is becoming the anti biking state...maybe they should put that on their car number plates!
Guys if your headed this way via Cann River be careful or head to Bega and come via Mallacoota...not normally more fun, but it would be right now!"
