I was in Maui last week, first time to the Islands. the storm was horrible, tried to make the best of it by chasing pockets of sunshine around. ended up just trying to squeeze a seven day trip into one day of sunshine, can't wait to go back.

couldn't believe how many people I saw riding without helmets, seemed that the sport bike riders were wearing gear though, which was good to see.

I wish I could, I spent 3 yrs there, stationed at Scholfield Brks.. I do miss the vacation time there.

Funny a guy called me from Hawaii a few days ago, He was interested in having a 848 shipped to him from here, the main land. He says you guys aren't getting them for a long time.?? That sucks.

I think it might just be illegal to wear a helmet on a cruiser here. A lot od sport bike guys don't wear helmets either. personally i value my head.

WE don't get ducatis here too quick. they have to make it to the mainland first. and the new superbikes always sell before they are dilivered.

BTW, I'm still looking to ride.

I was in Maui in the middle of March and was suprised to see a nice black 1098s on the road to Haleakala. guy was parked on the side of the road taking pictures of his bike above the cloud line, very cool. I've been expecting to see those shots show up here, but they never did. :dunno
