Greetings from the Southwest. I am not currently planning on riding a 1098 in the near term, as I am soon to be between jobs. However once I am back in CA and have things rolling, a 1098 or 848 will be high on my list of things to insure. I have been watching this site quite a bit and it seems that there are a lot of good folks on here.
I love twins but to be honest the only I4 I ever rode was a 1200 Bandit. Apart from that I have miles on an SV650, SV1000s, SP-2, 999, 749, S2R1000, S4RS, and a Bonneville T100.
Hope to have my own Duc soon.
:)
Got to ride my friends ZX-10 a couple of days ago. Very interesting. Not a twin but fun none the less.

Sorry I haven't checked back on this before but I prefer not to use names on the net, so if you want you can call me Poppy.

Welcome! I too was set on the 848 but opted for the 1098 since it really exists.

Nope, next thing you know people are reffering to you on some other forum by name, out of context and in a negative light sometimes and you aren't even a member there. Then if you ever join people have an impression about you already, good or bad. I don't like that. It hasn't happened to me (and I plan to keep it that way) but I have seen it happen to other people and I think it's a shame.
I could give you guys a hint of my name but could neither confirm nor deny the reality of it if someone actually guessed it so what's the point? It's usually a test for drunk people to see how intoxicated they are. If they get it I know they can drive, if not I get them a ride home.:beer
