There was a DDOS attack on the datacenter this morning where this server is located.
It looks like this has been resolved now.
Sorry for the downtime.

:)
This wasn't against this server, but another one in the same data center, which flooded the bandwidth and created the issue.
A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to, motives for and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally comprises the concerted, malevolent efforts of a person or persons to prevent an Internet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet) site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website) or service (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_service) from functioning efficiently or at all, temporarily or indefinitely.
Perpetrators of DoS attacks typically — but not exclusively — target sites or services hosted on high-profile web servers; a pair of DNS Backbone DDoS Attacks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNS_Backbone_DDoS_Attacks), on October 22 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_22), 2002 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002) and February 6 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/February_6), 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007), targeted DNS root servers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNS_root_servers), in an apparent attempt to "disable the Internet" itself by taking away an option of addressing Internet servers by their human-friendly names.
One common method of attack involves saturating the target (victim) machine with external communications requests, such that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic, or responds so slowly as to be rendered effectively unavailable. In general terms, DoS attacks are implemented by:
forcing the targeted computer(s) to reset, or consume its resources such that it can no longer provide its intended service; and/or,
obstructing the communication media between the intended users and the victim so that they can no longer communicate adequately.Denial-of-service attacks are considered violations of the IAB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Architecture_Board)'s Internet proper use policy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_ethics). They also commonly constitute violations of the laws of individual nations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_crime#Applicable_laws).

Well I also had another account on this server that was causing some issues, so this combined with the dos attack this morning made for a busy day... :)
I have removed that account to new server I setup today so we should be good now. :)
I also turned on the stats again, When I'm messing with the database I turn them off because it will show no users online when I restart mysql. :)
You probably didn't need to know all of this, but I like to let those that do want to know, what's going on behind the scenes. :beer
thanks as always for doing this :beer

Nobody used it so I turned it off. :)
There were like 5 threads in there and I started two of them.
:)
I can turn it back on if people will use it, but from what I can see not many people venture out of the 1098 sections.
