Ok SoCal's, I'm going to be in LA August 2-5. I have a client event the evening of August 2nd and have decided to stick around for the weekend. I won't have my bike as I will be flying down. If I get any kind forum brothers to lend me one of the spare steeds, I'd be happy to ride with you guys on Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning. Otherwise, I'll be checking out the new Bourne flick with my buddy Terry and just generally screwing around. PM me or post up if you want to hang out.

Yo Devin, the only riding I'll be doing that weekend is on Sunday. Do you have time to do a trackday that weekend? I'll be @ Fontana on Aug. 5th, you could always rent one of the many bikes at the track from Trackbikerental.com.

What about Saturday? There's a few guys signed up for Saturday (Ron=qqqqqman and Greg=Greg_S). I tried to get Saturday but Lvl 2 is sold out (Lvl 3 still has spots), so I'm on the waiting list for Saturday level 2, with a confirmed spot for Sunday Lvl 2. However, because of all the traffic in Lvl 2 last time, I may switch to Lvl 3 this time :dunno

What's with all these levels? How come all the trackday orgs can't get together and come up with a uniform system of seperating the dead-slow guys (B-, level 1, white, c) from the street squids (B+, level 2, black, b) from the guys that won't take you out (A, level 3, red, a)?

I don't know, but Fastrack recently implemented the AMB scoring system and they now give all of their riders transponders and post lap times after each session. Apparently the goal is to use the times in the future to keep people from riding in levels that are too fast or too slow for their skill level. I just switched to Saturday Level 3, since I'm running below 1:50's. Last time in Lvl 2, I almost t-boned a few guys going into corners, because I would carry more corners speed, so for reasons of safety I switched to Lvl 3 (even if a little more than half the guys will pass me). So if you want to do Saturday with me, Ron, and Greg, go for it! :greg

It's the bike I rode to Laguna.
Maybe we can meet Anthony, Diablo Blanco and the gang at ACH.
