Hi Shahrin, welcome :)

Are thinking about getting the base model or the S? :phil
And do you live near the Sepang circuit? Use to go there?

Thank you Mr MV, i'm considering the base model of course. The price of the s model here will be like the 999s which is equivalent the price of a good house eg. RM140,000 plus

I do not live in Sepang but i'm working near it in the airport. Yes, i've been there many times.

The ducati importer here is only one which is the authorised sole agent and this agent has a tendency to make ducatis a luxury vehicle unlike in your country.

In the end, pity us the average rider.

I'm currently riding a 954 honda. Been waiting for a light v-twin all this time and this 1098 really rocks judging from the specs and initial reviews. I used to ride 160kms daily to work back n forth but not anymore thus the maintenance of a ducati suit me well now eg. weekend rides etc.

Thank you for all the warm welcome :)

I will post something don't worry :) because rite now i'm still waiting for the final price of the soon-to-come 1098. If it's above 100k then i guess i'll wait for the 848.

Since you're the moderator i guess i do have to oblige to your request for the pics :) .

Ride tales, hehe i guess any passionate rider around the world regardless of nationality DO have ride tales of endless kinds. We'll share some one of these days, dont worry.

Been riding since 1996, 1st bike 1990 cbr600F1 (Hurricane as they call it in US), 2nd 1997 cbr600f3 and since 2002 cbr954rr until now. I used to ride daily.

Till then, chow!

i surely hope that you can negotiate a SATISFACTORY deal for a 1098 (though the 848 will be amazing, as well)

i will look forward to those pictures and stories.
i hope that your weekend is a terrific one

Ponch, Kuantan is a nice coastal city, i grew up there. Yeah, riders here often have to dodge monkeys, cows and sometimes even crossing armadillos :)

Bella996, yeah you got me name alright :)
