But the SCR crew is leaving Shell station at 8:45 (got that from my NARC on the inside) So if you can't be at shell station by then you wont get a good seat...

When pigs fly, I would have to get a second mortgage on the house I don't have, get rid of the car I still own ( like 30.000) And I would have to prostitude my self a couple of day's out of the week, just to make the payments on time.. but hey Im still thinking about it.......

It is very smooth and grippy but last time they did not have lane markers, just those little sticky post-it notes disbursed every few feet and it was hard to gauge the lanes. I was more worried about the cars coming the other way that they would just use the whole road.

Did it this morning, lanes are in. I still don't find it grippy. It's more sandy I think, especially the lanes going up. I know it sounds strange but the downhill lanes are cleaner.

1stRZA, I might be cagin' da MazdaSpeed6 since my clutch is acting up. It's not fully engaging and the bike is still in gear even if I pull the lever all the way back and it is also very hard to shift. Feels like I am forcing the dogs to mesh everytime I downshift.

what u need to is bled out the clutch, I believe Anthony had the same problem but thats how he fix the clutch isssue come on Will stop being too cool. come ride just cause u have a 6 u think ur better than us.....so fine than I will meet u there on my H3 :scooter

Will, bleed the clutch at the lever I did because I had the same problem last week and it is better than when I bought it now... Sqeeze the clutch lever slowly and open the bleed screw then tighten before you let off the clutch... do that a couple of times and your Done... I can find neutral whenever now...

all you guys having clutch problems I was probaly the 1st person in the socal group to have issues. I bled it 3 times within 3 riding weekends (I only ride Saturdays), so I just went out & bought a slave cylinder. I have the MPL tuning one from Germany, but any aftermarket 30mm slave cylinder will fix the problem. After 3 more canyon rides & 1 trackday I had no more leaky problems. Clutch pull effort is also reduced 33%, enough for 2 finger riders :)

I'm leaving Wednesday for Laguna and have a bunch of stuff to do before I leave so that's why I couldn't make it.
I did watch the race this morning at 8am High-Res Moto GP website.
Glad Loris did well, but sorry about my boy Casey. Probably the gentler engine management system on Loris' Duc saved his tires.
I'll hit the Crest again in a couple of weeks when I get back.
Unless yous guys want to ride to Ojai.

Before you dish out some of your hard earned cash bring your bike back to your dealer. Have them check the bearing behind the clutch pressure plate. The bearing is failing on most 1098's and it's causing air to get in. I had this problem diagnosed by Spectrum and they changed the bearing since I kept getting air in the system. Bleeding will only treat the symptom but not the real problem. Spectrum replaced the bearing no charge and that was about two weeks ago. So far the problem has not returned.

Went squidding for 20 minutes early in the evening and the clutch was acting up again and not engaging which made for entertaining stops at redlights. Then it won't shift into first either, so I had to majorly slip it in 2nd to get it going.

Then after 15 minutes, it just disappeared and the action became just like a hot knife through melted butter... Neutral practically found itself and the action was so light, I hurt my toes when the lever travel hit the limit at the top.

Then it came back as bad as ever. Oh well. Whatevers. That's life with a Duck.

Oh, yesterday it almost caused me to crash as I was making a tight U-turn and as you can imagine, as you grab the clutch and the bike keeps going strongly while you are negotiating a tight turn, you grab the brakes from running off the road, and the bike did a dangerous nose tilt towards the pavement and I caught it hard with my boot and stuck the landing. Thank God it was fresh asphalt and not gravel or sand.

+ 1 ..... I had a blast up there with you guy's, Nice to meet diablo, and great to see the rest of the group, out there in full force, And I think I saw will, tall guy in so sort of mini van parked a cross from the newcoms parking lot, I believe he had some donuts in he's hands..

And im also glad we showed those two guy's up there how we role. I now they felt pretty bad after we flew by them, that was fun, and how they almost, crashed in to each other. That was pretty funny....

I would say they are pretty fast, good riders, we were not racing and it could be a different story for all if it were.

I wouldn't mind riding with those guys anytime because I know they won't do anything stupid and cause the group trouble, and e could keep a good PACE...

I don't know anthony you were holding your lines up there with julio pretty well, and yes I would like to ride with those guy's again. They seem to have a pretty good pace, we need more of them up there. As long as they don't bump each other.....
