The excitement of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is upon us again! 2007 finds Ducati Corses Casey Stoner having a sterling season and battling for the Championship during his debut Ducati MotoGP campaign. Come out to Ducati Island and join fellow Ducatisti in celebrating Ducati speed while enjoying, yet again, Ducati-only parking on the Island.
Read on to find out just how to obtain a parking pass for exclusive parking privileges on Ducati Island.
IMPORTANT:
Please carefully read through the information and guidelines below in order to guarantee proper use of your parking pass and a smooth trip to the track and the Island.
In order to continue the tradition of Ducati parking on the Island for future races, its imperative that everyone read and abide by the following guidelines:
GENERAL INFORMATION & GUIDELINES:
Ducati Island parking passes will be a wristband attached to the helmet chinstrap.
Only Ducatis can park on the Island.
You must have a parking pass to park on the Island but a parking band does not necessarily guarantee you a spot on the Island. There are a limited number of parking spots available and they are first-come, first-serve with a valid parking pass.
You do not need additional parking passes to access the Island. All you need is a valid Ducati Island parking pass AND an event ticket to the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.
HOW TO OBTAIN A DUCATI ISLAND PARKING PASS:
Parking passes will be distributed at Ducati Monterey (Monterey Peninsula Sports Center) at 1020 Auto Center Parkway, Seaside, CA 93955 from 7am 10 am, Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21 or until all parking passes have been distributed, whichever comes first.
Directions to Ducati Monterey: From Hwy 1 exit Del Monte Blvd and head northeast, right on Auto Center parkway. The dealership will have special early hours these days. A map link can be found here.
A Ducati motorcycle key is no longer proof of ownership, you must bring your current Ducati registration or insurance and picture ID with you to obtain Ducati Island Parking passes and Ducati Island hospitality access.
One parking pass per bike.
The pass must be picked up in person.
Parking passes are valid for all three days of the race weekend.
Ducati Island parking passes are NOT for sale. They are available at no cost to those meeting the required criteria on a first-come, first-serve basis.
TRACK ENTRANCES:
The traffic plans this year will be similar to last years event with access via Barloy Canyon. To help ease congestion, there will be a designated motorcycle-only entrance and exit to the track. This road is a two-lane road with traffic both directions. Please follow the proper lane direction for your own safety and the safety of others.
Directions: from Hwy 1, take the Del Monte Blvd Exit (Marina), turn right on Reservation Road. Follow race traffic signs and make a right hand turn into the East Garrison Gate. Follow the signs to Barloy Canyon Road and the Raceway.
Please make sure and review the Red Bull USGP traffic plan here.
ONSITE PARKING GUIDELINES:
Parking passes should be attached to the helmet chin strap prior to the arrival at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Your parking pass attached to your chin strap will allow SCRAMP officials point you in the right direction and allow you access into the Island. To ease traffic flow, please make sure its visible at all times while on access roads while entering the raceway.
You are only allowed to enter the Island for parking via the expo bridge side. Bikes will not be allowed to enter via the vendor bridge side of the Island. The vendor bridge entry is reserved for pedestrians only.
If you arrive at Ducati Island and the Island is full or closed you should not try and park on the Island. In this case you must park in general parking. We advise you arrive early, as parking is first come first serve.
We cannot replace lost or stolen parking bands.
Ducati North America, SCRAMP or Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca have the right to retract any parking passes issued for any reason.
Please do not contact Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca or Ducati Monterey for information.
Its critical that everyone work with SCRAMP, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Ducati North America staff and volunteers to make this process happen as smoothly as possible. We look forward to celebrating with you on Ducati Island!
