Palomar was locked down last weekend. Tis the season, the weather is good and the bikes are faster. Time to book a track day!

Yep, Malibu area will have a serious crackdown. They said they will possibly impound bikes/cars, if deemed "racing".
Angeles Crest had two motorcyclists crash head on last Saturday, as one crossed the double-yellow. They even knew each other :(
Glad I just got another trackbike....

So... where are you speed freaks heading this weekend? I just got a call from the LT regarding this month's workload. Need to get the #s up!

I think am going to call it a day, I don't like paying police officers salary's. I rather pay a track day and not worry about no sticky tickets, they smell like ass.....

Ya know you can still go to all these great roads and cruise about 10 mph over and be safe, from the law that is.

Here's a concept, how about we just obey the law? Nobody ever got a ticket by going the speed limit or not tinting their windows. Just a thought...

What a concept!
Will's right. They won't keep this up forever.
The CHP's goal is to get us "Hooligans" to slow down. If they can't write a bunch of tickets, they'll go away.
But since we have race bikes, we like to go fast. If I wanted to "cruise" I would have bought a Harley or a Goldwing.
FYI. My buddy who rode PCH said there were a bunch of CHP there too.

thats far from truth, i got a bs speeding ticket 2 months ago, as i was going the speed limit. it will cost me $250 and a vacation day to get out of it. So much for that concept

You got a speeding ticket for going the speed limit or you thought you were going the speed limit? This will boil down to credibility and if you can prove your calibration then.
I didn't know IL has statutes to allow speeding tickets for going the speed limit.
Those cops look funny on their beemers.
Time to ditch the license plates and have some fun!

Lets get the motorcycle signal straight...
1) tap on head means "po po" ahead
2) tap on head with 2 fingers means about two miles ahead and so on....
Maybe this will keep all those hollywood posers (stunters) off my mountain and down in the city showing off...

:1. Although if you remember last time, we pulled right up on a CHP car and he was in front of us for a while. I'm gonna try and do at least one or two trackdays a month over the summer, since the canyon rides will be VERY slow for the time being.

No i was going the limit, i was in my own lane, there were cars next to me and in front of me, we were going the same speed. its 55 on that road and the speedo on the 748 was about 5-6 mph off, showing that im going faster than i really am, the speedo was showing 60ish which would put me around the 55 mark. very long story short cop comes flying up on my ass pulls me over and said he got me going 83 in a 55 while passing cars. which was impossible since there were cars in front of me. he said he used radar, and would not show me the gun. point being if a cop wants to be a dick he will, if he has something against sport bikes he'll take it out on sport bikes. I have a spotless driving record. my lawyer says if you ride a flashy bike your gonna get hassled by the cops whether you obey the law or not. nothing i can do about it, but fight it. im not the only one who has gotten a bs ticket, for obeying the law.

When the canyons are heavily patrolled just simply avoid them. There's lots of other places you can go here in SoCal.

If every body fights there tickets 88.3 persent will have them dismissed. There's not that many officers going to court and presenting there cases infront of judges. I fought a wreckles driving and a 85 on a 35, and to my luck the officer did not show up to court and my tickets got dismissed. I felt like I was dreaming, Only fight them when you have nothing to loose, like in my case... When you go over 30 miles the posted limit or when your facing 2 points, theres no traffict school meaning you have to pay and you get a mandatory point or 2. So you go to court and fight it, like I sead you have nothing to loose only gain if the officer does not show up, you're case gets automaticly dismissed...

I don't think I've ever written even 80 tickets a month! Then again, if I am a lawyer, I don't write any tickets at all, do I? Hmmm... things that make you think out loud....
I know a guy who was bad though, he went on a parking ticket spree and issued over 120 parkers in 1 month. I think that got him the most complaints too from citizens in the department.

Will, you and I both know how a bike can be torn apart with equipment violations.....I've "herd" some officers are issued a sheet with a sketch of a motorcycle with arrows pointed to all of the stuff to look for.

Dude... that "tip" sheet is strictly 10-35 and besides, I have no idea what you are talking about.
Also, the equipment violations, however trivial or technical, are still violations so the operator is still breaking the law.

10-35. Anthony that is obviously a trucker code "really stupid law". I guess the many years of long haul are finally paying off for Will.

10-35 is usually preceded by, "Breaker, Breaker, be on the lookout for the bubblegum machine. Smoky and the Bandit is on the loose."
We truckers have our own language, just as any other professional jargon particular to other jobs like how pilots do, cops do, prostitutes do, plumbers do, etc.
