Dealer rang me yesterday....someone pulled out and I was next on the list....

So I pickup my R this Saturday...Shame the weather is so crappy here in Melbourne at the moment.

Get them to put the ECU in and ride it home in the rain. Then you can see how the (no)traction control works.

Yea.......It will take me to long to clean it then......Got cought with my old 1098s (Trade-in on the R)......Took hours to clean all the dirt washed/sprayed into everywhere.....

Would be interesting though.........

My Hugger arrived the day after I rode it home in the rain. I didn't mind spending time cleaning it. I was going to be sitting the garage looking at it anyway.

No, nothing bad mate, I'm just curious about prices in Oz compared to the UK, US, EUROPE and the Middle East. I work in the Middle East and the wife says I can buy one once I've paid the SUV off :)

OK......Yea...Sticker price...57k but they gave me most of my money back on my S Trade-in.....

This was an order I placed 3mths ago they filled with this now available spot....
Their are no R's to be had off the Floor here in Melbourne........

Yea.......I know.....Have a Lotus Exige (English Car/Made) the difference is great there as well.........

Excuses range from ..."Australia is a smaller market"....greater Import costs/duties...
but at the end of the day........someone is just making more money/margin from us here in Australia..........


PS: But who cares when we have great Weather/Woman/Beer and very little BS ..........

Got home late.....spent to much time in the shop talking to the Boys....and then forgot
to take Pics on the Ute...etc

So Tomorow I'll pull it out of the Garage and take some good Pics....That Tail section is sweet in CF/painted .....just keep finding more/different bits to my old S the more I look...
My S sounded sweet with the Termis and even better with the 70mm full system but this R ....WOW.
