I heard about the front plate thing but what's the "wire rope fencing" thing about?

Multi Strand cable dividers that they put along our roads, supposed to be "crash effective" for cars/trucks and slow them rather than a blunt force stop that a steel guard rail provides... problem is they shred riders..

Ahhh, they have those things all over the place in Sweden as well. I was thinking about that when I was back there last year. That's gotta make for a nasty accident scene :puke

i think they've been declared unsafe in every other country in the developed (& probably undeveloped) world, and the guvment still allows them here...

hey guys, i dont mean to post anything horrible but a guy here in tas hit a wire rope early this year.
his head in helmet was some distance down the road as was his torso and various other parts i believe.
its the first time for many years the public has been offered councelling for anyone that witnessed the crash.
wire ropes are bad!
strangely a lot further up the highway. like 60 kms a whole new section of this was installed!!:eek
