I live in Central NJ, and have yet to find a really nice ride. Sure there are the occassional nice set of curves on some roads, but nothing like I see from the guys out west, or down south. For all those in the area, please post your favorite rides in Central NJ. I would like to find somewhere else to get my knee down other than off/on ramps to the many highways in the area. I am tired of right hand corners, and the remaining chicken strip on the left side of my tires. THanks

hey jay, there's some nice roads up in North Jersey if you're willing to take the ride out there. I've done two runs to Hawk's Nest in Port Jervis and the back roads up there are a lot of fun. Or you could always take it to the track...i did two track days at Pocono this year and it's awesome and a much safer environment than practicing on the street.

The farther north and west you go, the better. Sussex has some nice stuff. Head into PA to find some also. Everything gets clogged up on the weekends though. The Catskills have some real nice roads.

I live in Old Bridge and theres a road on the way to Sandy Hook off of Rt. 36 called "Scenic Route" or 13A. It runs along the coastline towards Mount Mitchill overlook park. Pretty nice stretch with a bunch of uphill and downhill turns and chicanes.
The only bad part is that its a residential road so you cant push the bike as hard due to possible people pulling out on you, and the road is well known to riders and drivers so it attracts cops as well. Going a little more south, I once stumbled upon some road called Rt. 22 (not the same that runs through newark etc. up north) and ive been wanting to find it again but was unable to do so due to not remembering the exact location. I found it totally by accident at night while driving my WRX from point pleasant, and it was amazing fun so i can only imagine how it is riding it.

thanks for the input. Also for those who don't know, there is a new european style track in south jersey. Same guy who owns VIR. A lot safer than Pocono from what I hear. This track as a lot of run-off, and a purpose built roadcourse, not infield. There are actually 2 roadcourses, and trackdays scheduled. I just need to see if I can get some time scheduled so I can attend. This damn thing called work keeps getting in the way......
Thanks again. My brother owns a sandwich shop in Hamilton, and recently on the ride down saw some decent farm/country roads off 130/33. I will try and get the bike down there soon to see how they are. At the very least, it is much less crowded down there than in our area, and it is only like 20min ride down there.

I'll be there for three days in October. They will most likely be my first trackdays on a 1098. Wohoo!!
