I'm from Kelowna, BC, Canada. About 4 hours away from Spokane Washington.
I'm going to race the R6 this year. I've just been an avid track day go'er in the past. Probably about 8 a year for the last 5 years.
As for the R6? It's unreal. The quickest steering, best handling bike I've ever ridden. Definetly down on tourque, but she pulls like a 750 up top. I love the thing. Feels like a 250. :badgerslayer

Ha, I am in the same boat. Look at my post count and I just been here about a month !! I am flying..:)
I am lucky enough to have a job, where I can surf as much as I want too...:) IMO, this is one of the best sportbikes forums around.http://mysite.verizon.net/cehowardrc51/emotion-21.gif And lately I have been to many a bike forum. Being around here helps me pass the time until my 1098 gets here, plus I am learning a lot about the ways of a Ducati-Rider.:cool
Even though I am an old cuss, I am quite sure when I mount the Ducati and ride her, I will do her justice. And if the urge hits me, I might put her on the track. :biggrin
Here is and old vid of me when I got my RC51, mind you this is a 63 year old man following a 21 year old up a mountain.. :) That was not 211 in Va, like the description states, it was W.33 in West Va, and I was 63, not 61..anyway, this is where my 1098s will be. Also, you get a chance to hear Sato pipes..:biggrin

Life is sweet.. :biggrin
In the meantime, I am surfing, looking at 1098 pics, and :drool

Speaking of R6's! Have you removed a Y spring (#11) to make your slipper clutch slip more!?!? I don't know if you have noticed but the slipper clutch on the R6 is still very stiff compared to other bikes with slipper clutches.

Wow nice vid - I need to get some practice and track time. I ride like such a panzy compared to that...wish I could have seen the speedo. With all due respect, you're not allowed to play that senior citizen card with me :biggrin

Sheesh, I play that every where I can.. :biggrin Even at that tracks, they should let all riders over 65 ride FREE!! And all the young girls should see if the elders are comfortable too...:biggrin That ride was before I was set foot on track. I would hate to see my pace on that road now, and with my 600rr..
that is why I took it to the track.....:Jiggy
And respect your elders!! :badteeth

Okay, I was thinking you were taking delivery on 2/9/07.. I was told I would get mine mid Feb.. But, looks like that is not going to happen from all the talk I see around here.
Wish I could go to sleep and wake up mid-March!! :badteeth
